As the founder and CEO of Rainmaker Global Business Development, Clark Grue’s success has been built on his impressive talent for developing unique connections and aptitude for identifying lucrative business opportunities for Rainmaker’s clients. Connecting timely opportunities in the extractives industries with innovative companies seeking new market verticals or geographies has become Rainmaker’s unique service offering.
In 1999, after serving as a Vice President with Network Innovations, Clark was chosen to launch the British Trade and Investment Office in Alberta, establishing this first-of-its-kind British representation in a foreign market. In 2004, Clark joined Calgary Economic Development where he played a lead role in rebuilding the organization, guiding its expansion in one of Canada’s fastest growing and most dynamic cities.
Among Clark’s many leadership skills, several of his professional achievements centre on finding the right people and motivating them towards a common goal. In 2005, he worked with Imperial Oil to move its head office from Toronto to Calgary, efficiently managing several teams through complex situations to a successful outcome. His passion for people and for building organizations led to Clark being named one of Calgary’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2005.
Clark continues to bring his passion for people and fostering business growth and expansion together at Rainmaker. Supported by a strong team from a variety of sectors and a Board of Directors with deep experience and networks, the organization is dedicated to building and implementing effective strategies for global market expansion for its clients.

Vice President, Investment Attraction
Alex L. Fallon has over 15 years of experience in international business development and investment attraction roles, having held senior positions in Europe (London, England), Asia (Tokyo, Japan) and Canada.
Prior to joining Rainmaker, Alex was the Director, Investment Attraction, Ministry of the Economy for the Government of Saskatchewan.
In this role Alex, oversaw a team of investment attraction managers responsible for attracting foreign direct investment(FDI) from the USA, Europe, India and Japan. Alex has a proven track record of delivering economic development / investment attraction results; in 2011 Alex initiated discussions with Accenture (a global management consultancy firm with over 200,000 employees) to establish an Accenture office in Saskatoon, SK and played a key role in Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.’s investment of $45M into a Saskatchewan potash project near Wynyard, Saskatchewan. Alex oversaw the implementation of an account management approach to investment attraction that helped the province reach a record of $19B of investment into Saskatchewan in 2013.
Alex began his career with Rolls-Royce Plc., before joining a nuclear energy agency within the UK Government’s Department of Trade & Industry. in 2000. In 2002, Alex was appointed Assistant Manager, BNFL Japan K.K & Westinghouse Electric Asia S.A in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2006, Alex returned ‘home’ to Saskatoon, SK, to join Cameco Corporation as Manager, Marketing (Canada). Cameco is the world’s largest uranium producer and an integrated nuclear energy company. At Cameco, Alex was responsible for marketing and selling uranium to Cameco’s customers across Canada and oversaw the sale of nuclear fuel and reactor components to customers in Canada, Europe and China. Alex managed a team of four senior specialists responsible for the management and administration of Cameco’s Canadian sales contracts. During his time at Cameco, Alex worked on a number of large international projects including the first delivery of uranium from Canada to China, and worked closely with the USA, Canadian and Iraqi government to import natural uranium to Canada for processing at Cameco’s fuel services facilities.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science (Honors) from the University of Bradford (UK), and a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Open University (UK).
Alex is completing his Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) and Certified Economic Developer (Ec.D.) designations.
In 2013, Alex was appointed by the UK Government (an appointment endorsed by the Provincial and Federal Government) as the first ever British Honorary Consul to the Province of Saskatchewan.

Vice President Strategic Development Services and Latin America
Tulio is a strategic thinking international business executive with over 15 years of hands-on experience cultivating new markets including China, Latin America, North America and the Caribbean. Tulio has extensive experience in market expansion, strategic planning, global program management, sales and marketing management. As an international business executive Tulio honed his skills in identifying, qualifying and securing business opportunities for Canadian and International firms. Tulio is known for cultivating and maintaining business relationships with current and potential clients across various demographics and industries at home and abroad. He has a thorough understanding of international markets and complexities of conducting business in foreign markets.
After joining Rainmaker, Tulio successfully managing a Fortune 500 midstream firm from the Boston area and their market expansion into Alberta in 2012 and 2013.
Tulio leads Rainmaker’s efforts in Latin America. Originally from Chile, Tulio brings a depth of experience and knowledge of the market in South America from which our clients gain immediate assistance in the market. Tulio started to investigate the possibility of expanding the Rainmaker brand into Latin America.Tulio has made a smooth transition into the oil and gas industry and will now lead our efforts in Latin America with his experience and continued success.
